Corner Brook Acute Care Hospital- Finished Floor Drain Inspection

Our crew was hired to locate and investigate all sanitary branch line floor drains for our client, PCL-Marco. Based on an existing issue that was discovered during maintenance, the contractor decided it would be best to investigate further.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

SUMMARY

PCL-Marco retained our services to assist with the inspection of floor drains at the new CBACH (Corner Brook Acute Care Hospital). The area was limited to the first floor of the new hospital and yielded approximately 200 drains throughout the area. We were tasked to investigate each drains integrity and construction to limit drainage issues in the future. Our crew located and mapped each drain determining if the as-builts were correct or not and recorded CCTV video content of each drain. Each drain was also noted in a report as to its condition and whether further action was necessary. This information deemed extremely useful to the contractor in order to meet construction deadlines and eliminated unnecessary downtime locating problematic floor drains. Our crew relayed the information through digital mapping files, a full comprehensive report as well as recorded video data.

PCL-Marco representatives were very pleased with the information provided and pulled our crew back to site many times after for other complex situations and issues.
